Grok Bot Pricing: Which Plan Gets You Bots, and What It Costs
Grok Bot has no standalone price. Since October 12, 2026 it comes with X Subscription Premium ($30), Super ($100) or Ultra ($200). Older plans still work.
◈Key Takeaways (5)
- •Grok Bot is bundled: X Subscription Premium $30, Super $100 and Ultra $200 a month include it.
- •Free and the $8 Plus plan do not include Grok Bot.
- •Existing Cursor, linked SuperGrok and X Premium+, and Grok Business seats keep working unless you switch.
- •Switching to The X Subscription is permanent; old web subscriptions get a prorated refund, Apple-billed Cursor plans do not.
- •Set a monthly additional usage limit before any routine runs unattended; it is the documented hard stop.

Grok Bot has no price of its own. Since October 12, 2026, new customers get it by buying The X Subscription at Premium ($30 a month), Super ($100) or Ultra ($200); Free and the $8 Plus tier leave it out. If you already pay for Cursor, a linked SuperGrok or X Premium+, or hold a Grok Business seat, your access continues unchanged unless you choose to switch.

Prices are as listed on SpaceXSI's pages on October 26, 2026, before tax.
The X Subscription, tier by tier#
The X Subscription is SpaceXSI's single plan covering Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium benefits. It launched October 12, 2026 for new customers and rolled out globally over the following days.
Every paid tier draws on one weekly pool of Grok model usage, shared across the Grok apps, the Grok tab on X and Cursor. x.ai/pricing says that inside Grok the pool covers Chat, Imagine, Voice and Bot. When it runs dry, you buy top-ups or wait for the weekly refresh. No absolute allowance is published, only multiples.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Usage (x.ai/pricing) | Grok Bot |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | Limited | No |
| Plus | $8 | $80 | Base | No |
| Premium | $30 | $300 | 4x Plus | Yes |
| Super | $100 | $1,000 | 15x Plus | Yes |
| Ultra | $200 | $2,000 | 50x Plus | Yes |
| Teams | $30 / $100 / $200 per seat | Not stated | 4x–50x Plus by seat | Yes |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Pooled | Yes, with access, network and audit controls |
What else you get:
- SpaceXSI says each plan includes at least twice the coding usage with its models of the comparable Cursor plan.
- Premium bundles SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+ benefits, which SpaceXSI values at $90 a month combined.
- Third-party models in Cursor, such as Claude or GPT, sit outside the pool and bill at API list prices from prepaid credit from the first use.
- Paid plans include Grok API access, billed separately at model rates.
SpaceXSI's own steer: Premium for new AI users, Super for daily agent users, Ultra for power users.
The usage multiples do not agree#
Watch for this when comparing tiers. cursor.com/pricing and SpaceXSI's pricing docs give 4x, 15x and 50x Plus. The x.ai/bot panel says Super has 3.5x Premium usage and Ultra 12x. Cursor's team pricing docs, checked October 27, put Super and Ultra seats at 3.75x and 12.5x Premium, which is what the Plus figures imply. No page explains the gap. Treat the multiples as rough.
Older plans that still include Grok Bot#
These routes predate October 12 and continue for current subscribers. Cursor now calls its own older plans "legacy." Prices are as last listed on October 12; by October 14 cursor.com/pricing showed only The X Subscription.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly | Tier for Grok Bot (Cursor's wording) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cursor Pro | $20 | $16/mo | Below Pro+; same as SuperGrok |
| Cursor Pro+ | $60 | $48/mo | Below Ultra; same as SuperGrok Plus |
| Cursor Ultra | $200 | $160/mo | Highest; same as SuperGrok Heavy |
| Cursor Teams Standard | $40/seat | $32/seat/mo | Follows the Teams allowance |
| Cursor Teams Premium | $120/seat | $96/seat/mo | 5x a Standard seat |
| SuperGrok (linked) | $30 | Not listed | Same tier as Pro |
| SuperGrok Plus (linked) | $100 | Not listed | Below Heavy |
| SuperGrok Heavy (linked) | $300 | Not listed | Highest |
| X Premium+ (linked) | Billed by X | Not listed | Same tier as Pro |
| Grok Business seat (self-serve) | Set by employer | Set by employer | Matches the seat's SuperGrok or Heavy license |
| SuperGrok Lite | n/a | n/a | Not included |
Cursor's legacy page pairs each older plan with its closest new tier: Pro with Premium, Pro+ with Super, Ultra with Ultra, Teams Standard with a Premium seat and Teams Premium with a Super seat. That pairing compares coding usage, not Grok Bot allowances.
Cursor Ultra vs SuperGrok Heavy: for Grok Bot they are the same top tier. Cursor staff said on September 10 there is no difference in models, speed or priority, and on September 22 that no tier sits above Ultra. Ultra also includes Cursor editor usage and cost $200 against Heavy's $300, so for Grok Bot alone Ultra was cheaper.
Should you switch to The X Subscription?#
You do not have to. SpaceXSI says existing plans keep their price and features unless you change them. Existing Cursor customers can still change between Cursor plans, and teams can still add seats. Limited-time switching offers appear in billing settings.
What switching does#
- The Cursor, SuperGrok and paid X Premium subscriptions you combine are cancelled at checkout with an automatic prorated refund.
- A new billing cycle starts that day.
- Grok Bot draws from the shared weekly pool, managed at grok.com/dashboard instead of cursor.com/dashboard.
- If SuperGrok was linked to several Cursor accounts, you pick a primary and the rest merge into it.
- It is permanent. Support cannot reverse it.
Switch decision checklist#
- You compared at least a week of your current usage before deciding.
- You want Grok and X Premium+ benefits, not just Grok Bot.
- If you pay for Cursor through Apple, you will cancel it in iPhone or iPad Settings the same day. Switching does not cancel or refund it, and it must be switched before its tier can change.
- If you bought Grok or X Premium through Google Play, you will confirm renewal is off there afterward.
- If you have X Premium+, you are choosing Premium or higher to keep its X benefits.
- If you run a team, an owner or admin will start it at cursor.com/unify/team after deciding each member's seat tier.
- You are not on Grok Enterprise or a negotiated contract; those cannot switch yet.
Teams and Enterprise#
X Subscription team seats cost $30, $100 or $200 per seat a month. Tiers can be mixed, Plus is not offered for teams, every paid seat has its own weekly pool, and the team shares one prepaid balance for extra usage. Cursor's team docs, checked October 27, also describe a $0 Free seat with no team allowance, assigned by email invite or the Seat menu. SpaceXSI says team seats include SSO, admin controls, consolidated billing, usage analytics and SOC 2.
Existing Cursor Teams continue at $40 (Standard) and $120 (Premium) per seat, with Grok Bot and on-demand usage on by default. Shared Bots, one Bot serving a whole team, are in public beta on Teams and Enterprise; see our Shared Bots guide. Cursor Enterprise customers without a Grok account can switch through their account team; other Enterprise accounts cannot yet.
Trials, phones and spending caps#
Free trials#
The X Subscription docs describe only one route: referral. A page that appeared on SpaceXSI's docs by October 28 says a friend who signs up through your link and adds a card gets two weeks of Premium free, with a reminder seven days before billing. Referrers must be on paid Premium, Super or Ultra, US-based and at least seven days past checkout. Each friend who becomes paid earns the referrer one usage reset, valid six months, with no cash value.
Cursor's help still describes a usage-credit trial (measured in agent steps and tokens with a 7-day window, never converting to paid) and an Apple introductory offer that does renew into a paid subscription unless cancelled in Apple ID → Subscriptions. Whether new accounts still get either is unconfirmed. The 0.78.1 changelog (October 27) says the in-app free-trial offer now reads "Get Grok Bot with a unified plan."
Buying on mobile#
If your account already includes Grok Bot, just sign in on the phone; do not buy twice. Only monthly individual plans are sold in-app, and Apple's US App Store has shown $25.99 for Pro, $77.99 for Pro+ and $259.99 for Ultra, above web prices. Yearly, Teams and Enterprise are web-only. More on the apps in our download guide.
Spending controls#
On The X Subscription there are four separate levers: the weekly pool, the prepaid balance, a monthly additional usage limit, and Auto Top-up (off by default). The monthly limit is the documented hard stop; adding credit does not raise it, and spend alerts only warn. On older plans, plans do not stack, links are permanent, SuperGrok upgrades can take up to 24 hours to show, and the on-demand monthly limit can be exceeded by a run already in progress. Our usage limits guide covers what drains the pool fastest.
Common mistakes#
- Buying Plus for Grok Bot. It does not include it.
- Stacking subscriptions for more usage. On older plans, Cursor and a SuperGrok link do not add up; Grok Bot uses whichever is larger.
- Switching with an Apple-billed Cursor plan and forgetting to cancel it. You get billed twice.
- Running routines with no monthly cap. Set the additional usage limit first.
- Confusing the two Ultras. Same name and price, different plans.
Our take#
If you are new, start on Premium at $30 and upgrade only after a week of real usage data, since agent steps and tokens drain unevenly. If you already hold Cursor Pro or a SuperGrok link, stay put unless you also want Grok and X Premium+, because switching is one-way. Whatever you choose, set a spending cap before your first unattended routine, then follow our setup walkthrough.
Frequently asked questions#
How much does Grok Bot cost?#
There is no standalone price. Since October 12, 2026, new customers get Grok Bot with The X Subscription Premium at $30 a month, Super at $100 or Ultra at $200, or a team seat at the same prices. Existing Cursor Pro ($20), Pro+ ($60), Ultra ($200), Cursor Teams ($40 or $120 a seat), linked SuperGrok and X Premium+, and Grok Business seats keep working.
Does the $8 Plus plan include Grok Bot?#
No. x.ai/pricing marks Grok Bot as not included on Free and Plus, and SpaceXSI's docs tell you to choose Premium or higher to use it. Plus does include Cursor's agent and Grok Build, so it is not useless, but it will not unlock your Bots.
I already pay for Cursor or SuperGrok. Do I have to switch?#
No. SpaceXSI says existing SuperGrok, Cursor and X Premium plans continue at the same price unless you change or cancel them. If you do switch, the web subscriptions you combine are cancelled with a prorated refund and the move cannot be undone. A Cursor plan bought through Apple is not cancelled for you, so cancel it in iPhone or iPad Settings.
Is there a Grok Bot free trial?#
Only by referral, according to the docs. A referral page that appeared on SpaceXSI's docs by October 28 gives a friend a two-week Premium trial after entering a card, with a reminder seven days before the first charge. The referrer must be a US-based paid Premium, Super or Ultra subscriber at least seven days past checkout. Cursor's help still describes older trials.
Is X Subscription Ultra the same as Cursor Ultra?#
No, despite the shared name and $200 monthly price. X Subscription Ultra is a new plan with 50x the usage of Plus, shared across Grok and Cursor, plus X Premium+ benefits; x.ai/bot calls it 12x Premium usage. Cursor Ultra is the older Cursor plan, now labelled legacy. Neither company publishes how the two Grok Bot allowances compare.
What happens when I run out of usage before the week resets?#
On The X Subscription, extra use is paid from prepaid top-up credit, and a monthly additional usage limit acts as the hard stop; Auto Top-up stays off unless you enable it. On older Cursor plans, work stops unless on-demand usage is on, and Cursor says its monthly limit does not stop a run already in progress.
